Day at Lagoon

Brett's company party this year was at Lagoon instead of the zoo. Nice change of pace but the fact that it was Memorial weekend and the water park wasn't open sucked because there was a TON of people there. It wasn't too bad at the beginning but towards late afternoon more people started coming so standing in line wasn't the greatest. Oh well The kids had a blast on the rides and we had fun watching them.....maybe some year Brett and I will be able to go on a roller coaster together. It's only been like 5 years!!

I miss him!!

Brett is such a good friend and I am such a good wife. His best friend that is moving to Seattle asked if Brett would help him move. I said yes because he's not going to get to see him for awhile and it would be nice for Brett to see him. The thing that sucks is that I'm home with the kids for one more day then originally was planned. Brett was going to come home wednesday but now it looks like it's going to be thursday morning. It's not that I can't handle the kids, it's just that I miss him. I don't get any hugs or kisses, or foot rubs or just snuggling on the couch. He's been gone for 1 day and I can't stand it. The kids miss him too. I'm glad we are not apart very often and when we are it's only for a few days.

Nap time

About a week before we left for Seattle Khloe got sick. I should have known something was coming because she took a nap and she never takes naps anymore. I went to check on her in the playroom because it was way too quiet. My heart skipped a beat when I couldn't find her, until I looked in her toy bin...there she was fast asleep. The next morning she woke up with a fever. Her she is sleeping in her toys!

Whew! What a vacation!

Here's how the trip went....We leave Bountiful about 8pm monday night, the kids were great, we had to only stop 3 times. So imagine our surprise when we get to ellensburg at about 7am. We can't check into the hotel until 3pm. Luckily I have the best brother in the whole world and he let us go to his house and take showers and get ready for the day. Our hotel was pretty nice too because they let us check in at around noon. We hang out at the hotel for awhile and we go to dinner with Levi. The next day (wednesday) we go to Pike Place Market so the kids can see the fish being thrown. It was alot of fun. We also went to Alki. Khloe liked playing in the water in her clothes. Sand EVERYWHERE!! Brett and Levi went to a Mariners game too. Texas won. :( Thursday I helped Michelle look for an apartment, Brett and the kids went to Bulwinkles to play mini golf. We went to Levi's softball game after that....they lost miserably. Friday was the best day weather wise. We went to the Des Moines Marina. The tide was pretty far our so it was a good day to play in the sand and water. Khloe loved the water, Gage didn't get a good nap so he was a little cranky! After the beach we went to Levi's house for a BBQ with all the boys. You know it's a bachelor pad when they are using a wife beater for a kitchen towel. But don't worry we will be sending them some shortly. Saturaday we went with Court and Michelle to look at apartment again. After that we went to Christines house for dinner. It was nice to see everyone with their kids....talk about a zoo though!! Sunday was mothers day. We went swimming at the pool, and went to dinner. Every place was packed but we still had a good dinner. Monday we got up, checked out of the hotel, went to pike place market to get some souviners and then haded home. We left about 12pm and didn't get home until 5am the next day. We stopped for longer and more times because we were driving durning the day. Next time we will be driving both ways at night. It was a great trip and I hope to make one at least once a year. Brett and I both miss Seattle and the water alot....and kinda miss Levi!

Seattle, here we come!!

I'm doing this now because I have WAY too much to do tomorrow and monday before our big trip! We are super excited. Khloe doesn't understand about hotels, I'm not sure what she thinks we are doing. Today she asked if there would be toilets so she could go pee. What a weirdo. So for all of you that we will be visiting can't wait to see you and for all those we are leaving we will miss you! I'll have pictures when we get back. In the meantime here are some pictures of the kids being weird!

I'm new at this

All my cool friends have a blog and I think it's a wonderful idea because you can keep track of what's going on in your friends and families lives and not have to talk to them. Not that talking to them is a bad thing it's just when you have three kids and no time to yourself the last thing you want to do is call all your friends with news about your life or news about theirs. This will be so much easier plus I can put pictures on here so everyone can see how big the kids are getting. So I hope you enjoy this as much as I think I'm going to.
